Depending on the legal matter, I offer an hourly rate, a flat fee, or a contingent fee (i.e., my fee is contingent on securing compensation for my client). For matters that are billed hourly, I keep detailed logs of the time that I spend and bill in six-minute increments. Flat fees usually include expenses (for example, postage or a state filing fee), but hourly-billed or contingent-fee matters usually do not include expenses. Most matters require signed attorney-client agreements, and retainers must be paid up front. I prefer cash or a check for retained matters, but I now take credit cards through Lawpay, a secure online payment portal.

Use the form below to tell me about your legal inquiry, and I’ll call you back to schedule an appointment. Please be reasonably detailed but do not include confidential or sensitive information. For example, you may state that you were injured at work and want to know your basic rights or that you were charged with a crime and want to discuss retaining me as counsel. You may also send an email or call my office to make an appointment. The typical response time is one business day. I usually am available between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, but I can make alternative arrangements when schedules conflict.
